This project encapsulates memories through the power of scent. The artist collected materials with significant personal meaning from places she shared with her grandfather, preserving these memory-laden scents in wax blocks. Each wax block represents a unique scene, capturing a precious moment in time. As the scents are released, viewers are transported back to these unforgettable experiences, feeling the deep emotional connection between the artist and her grandfather. "Sniff the Scenes" uses scent as a medium to explore the profound link between smell and memory, showing how scents can transcend time and awaken dormant emotions.
These wax blocks serve as emotional vessels by encapsulating memory-laden scents from different places. Each block contains elements from special moments and locations shared by the artist and her grandfather.
